Support 4 Soldiers
About Support 4 Soldiers
Last December, Union County hosted an event for high school students where they worked in groups to create a community service campaign. This event, known as UC STEP (Union County Student Training and Enrichment Program) challenged students to think outside of their own communities and create a service project to benefit individuals from throughout Union County. The winning campaign, Support 4 Soldiers, is an item collection drive for soldiers.
The Union County Support 4 Soldiers campaign will engage high school students throughout the County as they collect items to support soldiers both at home and overseas. During the campaign, high school students will participate in school and community based activities that will encourage involvement in this unique, county-wide project.
At the conclusion of the campaign, the items collected will be packaged by students and sent to our troops overseas in conjunction with our partner, the Westfield Armory. We hope you will help us support our troops by donating items to the Support 4 Soldiers collection drive!
Support 4 Soldiers Kick Off Event!
On March 19th we kicked off our Support 4 Soldiers campaign at the Westfield Armory. Students, parents, teachers and community members joined us as we handed out collection boxes to participating students and heard from Lieutenant Colonel Bill Morris about the importance of supporting our troops overseas.
We thank everyone who attended this exciting event and look forward to a successful campaign!
